GREAT NEWS! COME JOIN US FOR THE NINTH ANNUAL GARDENFEST CORAL SPRINGS “GFCS” AT THE CORAL SPRINGS FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS AT “THE WALK” OF CORAL SPRINGS.  Last year this very successful festival enjoyed over 30,000 visitors.  We will be in our own special location, just south of the magnificant fountain.  The CSFOA will be to the north of the fountain.  Spaces are truly limited, so please register early!


The Mission of Gardenfest Coral Springs is to provide the serious and occasional gardener an opportunity to experience a wide variety of beautiful orchids, many exotic and native plants, unusual ferns, wonderful roses, palms, fruit trees, flowering trees, succulents, herbs and many other plants that are just waiting for you to take home.  Experts, including Master Gardeners, Wildlife Habitat Stewards and Nursery Growers will be available to provide advice on any garden problem you may have.
**** Proceeds from Gardenfest fund scholarships for students majoring in environmental and horticultural sciences at a Florida College/ University and to community projects of The Garden Club of Coral Springs, Inc. a non profit, all volunteer organization with an IRS designation of 501 C(3).  CONGRATULATIONS TO 2015 SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS;  Graduates, Deni Briann Barrington – Coral Glades High and Stephen Brinez – Coral Springs Charter!

During the event weekend there will be a delicious “Farmers Market” with locally grown Florida produce,  youth activities and food vendors offering a wide variety of choices.  In another area local experts will present “Ask the Experts” sharing their knowledge and answering questions.

Battle of the Big Tomatoes….Join us this weekend for a celebration of the locally-grown Florida tomato!  Bring your entries to the pink Garden Club tent between 10:am Saturday and 12 noon on Sunday and complete a registration form for entry to qualify.  Prizes ($25 gift card) for Largest Tomato   ($10 gift card) for Most Unusual (shape or appearance) Tomato.  Judging begins at 2pm. Must be present to win.  Start growing your vegetable garden today!

Note:  you don’t need to have a vegetable garden to grow tomatoes.  They grow well in containers on your porch or patio, providing the benefits of reduced weeds and fewer insect challenges.

Directions from the Sawgrass Expressway (869):
Take Sample Road. exit. Head east on Sample Rd.. At University Drive  turn right (south) for about .1 miles. The Walk is on the right.  Turn left at the fountain.

Directions from I-95:
Take Sample Road west approximately 9 miles to University Drive. Turn left (south). Continue for about .1 miles.  The Walk  is on the right.  Turn left at the fountain.
